This quote implies how Earl believes that we choose our own "faith". he believes that along the way we make the choices we wanna make and that's who we end up becoming. Whether is for good or bad we become someone out here in this world. Many go the wrong way with the bad choices they make and some don't realize the damaged they've cause until is too late. Others are always on the right path and manage to have a good and extravagant life with the good choices they make along the way. We are responsibile for our own actions and mistakes, so if we do wrong we pay the consequences whether we like it or not. Some choose the wrong paths &cannot end up back on track &thats when most of these bad people end up in jail. Meanwhile the good people who always thought about having a good career,making good money &having a loving family are the ones who have a fascinatiing life because their good thoughts throughout their life brought them here.
