Choose The Right!

Student Success Statement

You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get. –Michael Phelps

Most people don’t exceed their best to actually try and succeed, why? Well the reason for this is because many people let the laziness take advantage. The laziness takes control over them. A lot of people always satisfied themselves with “ok” work not knowing they can succeed even more and accomplish many more things. The higher standards you have for yourself the more you’ll be able to accomplish and the more chances that will be thrown at you.

Restoring Faith in Humanity

It's honestly a surprise but nice to know that there's still people out there who can be willing to do good deeds and actually sacrifice their own life for others. It's very nice to know that there's these type of good people because many just walk away from the situation thinking is easier although their just going to make things worse. Many times people are afraid to stand up for what is right because many fear what others will think or are just simply afraid. Many do the right thing because they know that afterwards they're going to feel good within themselves but not only that but they're going to make the surroundings happy.

"Try a little harder to be a little better" - Gordon B. Hinckley

This quote is something i agree with because if you're going to settle for less just to get by you really aren't completing nothing exciting that you can actually call a "master piece". Some people actually strive and go higher than expected to exceed more choices in life. By doing so, you can and are able to accomplish more things you probably didn't even know you could accomplish. With this said, you can always try a little better to actually succeed more in life. This is something you can use in a every day thing because as doing this, you'll get better.

Medical Illustrator

Duties and responsibilities: Medical illustrators are highly skilled artists.  They work strictly in the medical field and create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films.  Their drawings span a wide range from microorganisms to body parts. Some medical illustrators prepare illustrations that aid in research about or creation of artificial body parts.

Salary: $35,000 - $50,000
Education: Students interested in becoming medical illustrators should take a college preparatory program in high school that emphasizes art and science. In college they should either major in art and minor in science or major in science and minor in art.  Undergraduate science courses should be the same as those required for medical school.

Reflection: I wouldn’t like to try this simply because im not good at drawing or anything associated w/ art.

"If you want to achieve excellence, you can get there today. As of this second, quit doing less-than-excellent work." - Thomas J. Watson

This quote implies how people shouldn't just settle for less always exceed your expectations and settle for more see this as a transcendent aspect in your life. If you can accomplish excellence why settle for "OK" work, , ? In order to succeed more you'll need to put in more effort from your side. you'll probably accomplish more things that you didn't even know you could, most people settle for less just to get by not knowing they can do way better and with that they'll succeed more in future and reach higher goals than expected.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Medical assistants help physicians and nurses deliver patient care.  They schedule appointments; take blood pressures, respirations, temperatures; and perform other routine patient pre-examining procedures.  Sometimes they help with office and clerical tasks.

Reflection: I would probably consider this , because is something related w/ the medical field and that’s something that I do like.

Salary:  $17,000 - $18,000

“Paint a masterpiece daily. Always
Autograph your work with excellence.” -Greg Hickman

This quote implies how anything you do you should always be proud of. You’re always going to accomplish many things throughout your life, so you should always be proud of what you give and receive each day, be grateful for everything. If you don't appreciate the things you do or be proud of the things you accomplish then no one else will be proud of them either, they'll pay no importance to it whatsoever. Masterpiece's always begin with you and with what you do.

LPN

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Duties and responsibilities: Work with and under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. They care for injured, handicapped, and sick patients.  Their duties include taking temperatures, blood pressures, and pulses.  They also give injections, change dressings, and help give patients baths.
Salary: $16,000 – $23,000
Education: Although a high school diploma or GED certificate is not always required, it is encouraged.  LPNs do not have the extensive professional education that is required for a registered nurse. State approved training programs are offered by the hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges and private schools. A person can generally become an LPN with one year of training; all U.S state and territorial boards also require passage of the NCLEX-PN exam.
Reflection: I would probably consider being a lpn, because is related with medicine and health.
